Dear Warwickians,
Since I first put out a request for help furnishing an apartment for
Scott and Vivian a few days ago, the groundswell of offers has been tremendous.
Within 1/2 hour of my email message I got responses to cover most of what I
was looking for! So, some of you who have offered things that we didn’t take
might be a bit disappointed. We could have furnished the apartment several
times over, especially the kitchen, with all that was offered. I apologize to
anyone who I or Kelly did not get back to directly.
I’m happy to report that we have a fully furnished apartment ready for
Scott and Vivian, replete with pictures on the walls, throw pillows, bedding,
stuffies, etc. We do not yet know when they’ll move in - perhaps this weekend.
Then we might find out about other needed items, and will get the word out.
There are a few things still on the wish list for them. If you can
help with any, please email me. Phone calls are harder simply because I’m not
home much. I will try to respond to those of you who called yesterday, but you
can always email to get my attention.
Here is a list of things we are still looking for:
· books, knick knacks for open shelving in living room
· books, games, DVDs – for a 10 year old girl
· an area rug for the bedroom – something that goes with pink and white
décor, on a natural wood floor
· a rocking chair
· a dish pan
· a bureau for Scott (The one we had lined up didn’t work out)
· flat screen TV with HDMI PORT (Beth Gilgun has offered one, but if
anyone has one they are not using at all, that would be nice)
· curtains for two kitchen windows, one shorter, one long (63”)
· curtains for 63” long windows - 2 sets of two windows each in the living
room, 1 set of same in bedroom, 1 single window in the bedroom, to go on café
rods. They could be simple side curtains, as all have mini-blinds. Color
scheme in living room is muted green and beige, in the bedroom is pink and
white.
Thank you so much, everyone. Remember the calling hours, funeral and gathering
at Warwick Community School. Money & gift card donations can be sent to David
Young, c/o town hall, checks made out to Scott Seago.
