Fellow Warwickians -
The MA state primary election is on Tuesday, Sept. 4th.^ The winner of
the Democratic primary to fill the State Senate seat left vacant with
Stan Rosenberg’s departure will likely represent us in Boston, so voting
on Sept 4^th is critical and I hope you will consider joining me in
support of*Jo Comerford, write-in candidate for the
Hampshire-Franklin-Worcester Senate District.***
Jo is experienced and knows how government and advocacy work. Her past
positions include Executive Director of the National Priorities Project
and the Western Massachusetts American Friends Service Committee,
Director of Programs at The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts, and most
recently as Campaign Director for MoveOn.In his statement of support for
Jo Comerford, Northwestern District Attorney David Sullivan said: “The
race to replace Stan Rosenberg is too important to send anyone to Boston
who can’t do the job on day one. Jo will do the job on day one.” Jo was
recently endorsed by Robert Reich, former US Secretary of Labor, and the
Massachusetts Teachers Association among many others. We are impressed
with Jo’s leadership and progressive track record in regards to worker’s
rights, food security, tax priorities, and renewable energy among many
other things.
I have attached an informative flyer outlining Jo's position on policy,
her values and more - all to tell us why and how we should*_WRITE IN:
_**_Joanne Comerford, 186 Federal Street, Northampton _*The campaign is
made more challenging because there is only one name on the ballot so
voters must write in a candidate’s full name and address on September 4.
I am proudly displaying a l*awn sign for Jo *at our house and invite my
Warwick neighbors who are interested to join me in doing so. Please let
me know if you would like a sign - email me at regina@xxxxxxxxxx or call
978-544-5752.
Best,
Regina Curtis
