I will be playing a recital of piano music by Thomas de Hartmann on Friday
27th of September at 7:30 PM, that you are welcome to attend. It will take
place at the home of George and Ana Bennett.
This event will feature the *American premiere performance* of *de
Hartmann’s Impromptu Op. 4 No. 2* — an early romantic work. Also on the
program will be the *Humoresque Viennoise Op. 45*, which may elicit
laughter from some audience members.
Besides these two works, there will be a sampling of the Gurdjieff/de
Hartmann music from the East, transcribed for piano. This music consists
of sacred and folk music of the East, from different traditions, including
Tibetan and Dervish dances, Hindu melodies, Russian Orthodox Hymns,
Armenian Folk music, and much more.
