Earth Day Network, a non-profit environmental group with a very favorable
"Charity Navigator" rating, is working with a local Girl Scout group to
re-plant much of the El Yunque National Forest that was devastated by
Hurricane Maria. The Earth Day Network says $1 = 1 tree and each tree will
help Puerto Rico rebuild not only the forest, but the local economy that
surrounds the forest.
The Mission Committee will be taking donations for the project this Sunday,
Earth Day, Apr 22. If you would like to make a donation through us (100% will
go to the Network), you can make a check out to TCCW (Trinitarian
Congregational Church of Warwick) and we will send it on to the Earth Day
Network.
