Oct 19 & 20: Sen. Feingold Listening Sessions

U.S. Senator Russ Feingold will hold listening sessions in Ashland, Sawyer and Price Counties. His session in Ashland will be held on Friday, October 19, 2007. His sessions in Sawyer and Price counties will be on Saturday, October 20, 2007. Senator Feingold has pledged to hold listening sessions in all of Wisconsin’s 72 counties each year of his six-year term. If constituents need special accommodations at the listening sessions they should contact Senator Feingold’s Middleton office at 608-828-1200.

His Ashland County listening session will be held at 6:45 p.m. in the Council Chambers at the Ashland City Hall, 601 Main Street West, Ashland.

His Sawyer County listening session will be held at 8:15 a.m. at the Stone Lake Lions Hall, 16831 West Main Street, Stone Lake.

His Price County listening session will be held at 12:00 p.m. at the Brantwood Community Center, N4888 Stadium Road, Brantwood.

Each session will last up to one hour. These meetings allow you the opportunity to express your views to the Senator on federal issues such as IDEA, Community Choice Act, Rehabilitation Act, housing, health care, voting and campaign finance, and ethics reform.

Nov 13: Public Forum on Special Education

The Wisconsin Council on Special Education will hold a public forum to obtain broad based input on special education.

When: November 13, 2007 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM

Where: Madison Marriott West, Salon D, 1313 John Q. Hammons Drive, Middleton, 608/831-2000.

What: The purpose for this forum is to gather public comment on the unique challenges and successes of special education in Wisconsin. Information gathered will be used by the Council in advising the Department of Public Instruction (DPI) on matters affecting the education of Wisconsin’s children and youth with disabilities.

Comments are sought for the following topics:

* State law: eligibility criteria for Significant Developmental Delay and Specific Learning Disabilities;
* Parent education and parent partnerships: statewide needs;
* Cross-categorical programming;
* Student mental health issues: needs and responses;
* Any other topic on special education.

the body of the email blank.  You will get a confirmation showing "unset digest" and "Flag 
successfully set".  And you'll go back to receiving normal emails from WADNet Post.

TO GO ON VACATION:
To set your WADNet Post subscription status to "vacation mode", simply send an email to 
wadnetpost-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with "set vacation" in the subject line.  Leave the body of the email blank. 
 You should get a confirmation saying "set vacation" and "Flag successfully set".  The system will 
stop sending you email.

TO CHANGE BACK FROM VACATION MODE:
To set your WADNet Post subscription status back to normal, simply send an email to 
wadnetpost-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with "unset vacation" in the subject line.  Leave the 
body of the email blank.  You should get a confirmation saying something like "Flag 
successfully set".  The system will start sending you email again as normal.

wadnetpost-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'unsubscribe' in the Subject field.
