There are a huge number of devices at different pricepoints. Some are even sold
through home improvement stores. More than likely it can sink up to any
existing devices like an iphone or android. Here's a review article from last

If the Veteran has internet, one option may be to pursue the Amazon Echo. A
feature that can be installed with the Echo is a camera installed on the
doorknob that sends an image to the computer. The Amazon Echo has many
additional features that many of my clients find helpful as well, such as
obtaining weather reports, traffic conditions, date, time, grocery lists, etc.
It continually has updated features being added. We are pursuing the Echo Dot,
which retails for around $50 and is very portable, if connected to internet
account.

visual door alarm type of apparatus for when unexpected people ring his
