Chris, you can still load more instruments, as long as you assign midi channel 2, 3 etc to each instrument, but you can't delete individual instruments though with that set. Best Steve.

Hi Steve,

At the moment the Samplitude Kontakt HSC is a cut down version of the
one we were used to in Sonar.

However to answer your question, when you have an instrument loaded (and
have perhaps recorded some midi on a track too although it's not
relevant really), you can change the instrument by using Ctrl + Alt + F,
then arrow down to 'reset multi', hit yes to unload that instrument from
the dialog box choice.

Then you can load a new instrument once again from that dropdown menu.

There used to be a shortcut of Ctrl, Alt + R which did this, we could
also load up to 8 instruments as a multi, I'm sure these features will
be back at some stage.

Best,

Chris

The standalone application doesn't seem to be worth much, as far as I
can tell, but the plug's just fab! One question though: I can load
things, open and close the browser, that's fine, but what do I do if I
want to change the category of an instance of the plug? Say for
example I've got a track with Kontakt on it, and I've loaded a piano.
I can change the instrument within the category, but unlike
Independence, where I can go to another category and put an instrument
from that category on the track in place of the one I currently have,
I can't seem to do that in Kontakt. If I change categories, the window
looks good, I can pick another one, pick another instrument, but it
doesn't change the sound. How's this done?
