Yeah, I had to redo Omnisphere. After having to redo Samplitude, I
kind of figured a redo of everything else would be required, and it
was, except for JAWS oddly enough.

Steve,--
Apologies I can't make any suggestions regarding Samplitude, however
with the 2 hard drive reinstalls I've had experience with in the last 6
months, on both occasions I had to re-register JAWS and Omnisphere 2 as
they had apparently detected the hardware changes so that might answer
question 1 which is resolved anyway.
Best,

Everything was going fine until this morning. I replaced a rotating
system/boot disk with an SSD. That seems to have gone just fine.
However, when I started Samplitude, bad things happened.
1. I was presented with the registration dialog, but everything was
filled in, so I press OK to carry on. I got the message that a
connection to the server could not be established, and the process was
aborted. I checked my network, it was intact and operational, but I
couldn't even dismiss the can-do-it dialog, so I rebooted the system
anyway, tried again, and the re-authorizing went through. I'm thinking
this has something to do with the SSD, but darned if I can figure what
that might be.
2. I opened a new project. After getting past the initial selection
dialog--name, template, etc.--and pressing ENTER, I got nothing
useable from JAWS. Up/Down Arrows, no indication of track movement.
However, I checked the track movement on the bottom line of the screen
where the "Press F1 for help" legend is, and the track numbers moved
when I press Up/Down.
3. Tried inserting a VST. Pressed CTRL/Windows/Grave Accent, heard "FX
menu," but when I use arrows, get nothing, when I press V, get
"Pasted." Totally not good.
4. Tried re-copying all script and HSC files. Re-ran Samplitude, got
the standard message that Hot Spot Clicker had updated all keymaps.
Tried steps 2 and 3 again, same results.
I am sitting on the VIP TeamTalk channel if anyone has an idea of what
went wrong and how to fix it.
As always, thanks in advance.
