Oh brother! I thought this would happen. Yeah, thanks to old Phil here
telling me it was on sale for half price, I did buy it. That's a deal
one can't pass up.
Where do I look to find its version? I thought it was a standard
plugin, not a standalone program.

you could just grab it from the samplitude dropbox folder. Phil do you mind
if I put it in there? Until the hsc set are adapted for 5.6 that's the only

Got Keyscape registered with the help of my wife via TeamViewer. All the
buttons on the screen are visible with JAWS, but it's funny, the text is not
what you have to click on in order to activate the function. In other words,
the screen has something that says 'CONTINUE' on the lower left-hand corner,
but you can JAWS Left Mouse Button that text until your finger falls off and
nothing happens. It's a graphic next to the text that needs clicking. Ditto
for the 'Copy', 'Paste' and 'Continue' buttons during the registration
process.
Anyway, it's done now. Len, you might think about adding these button spots
and assigning them to things like Control+1 for the first continue button,
Control+2 for Copy, Control+3 for go to the Website to get the response
code, Control+4 to paste it from the clipboard, and finally, Control+5 to
press the final 'CONTINUE' button, which then displays the standard message
telling you that the plugin must be removed and re-inserted for the
registration to become effective, which is pretty standard Spectrasonics
fare.
Got Superior Drummer registered thanks to some TeamViewer help from a friend
in Utah, and the library path set. Phil, you were correct in thinking there
was a dismiss button of some kind on the plugin screen which was complaining
the library path hadn't yet been set. Sure as you're born, there was, this
big old bright button graphic with a big ol' "OK" in it. It got clicked, the
warning message was dismissed, and I carried on with setting the proper
library path from the Hot Spot menu, HSC Mods+F1.
Got Kontakt installed, I think, once again with some fine assistance from my
long-suffering (LOL) but always-ready-to-help wife. I need to know how to
tell what version I'm using, and how to make sure, if I have installed
something less than 5.5, that I don't accidentally update to 5.6, or if I've
inadvertently installed 5.6, how to downgrade. Installing the library was a
cinch. It comes down as a big ISO, which I mounted using Virtual Clone
Drive, ran the installer, told it where I wanted it put, and let it rip.
Got VB3 installed completely independently thanks to a tip-tap on the
shoulder from Phil who told me about the Control+1, Control+2 and
Control+3 buttons to position the mouse pointer at the correct places
on the screen to type or paste one's name and serial number, then click
"Register". After I got it done, I spent nearly three hours just playing
along with my favorite prog band from the seventies, Focus. It gave me the
impetus to practice "Focus III" and "Anonymous II" again, both very
B3-centric pieces of music. I'll be ramping up my old Keith Emerson chops
again, too, thanks to this fine emulator. Kudos to whoever made the HSC set
for this one!
Enough for one day, eh? I'm beat, but my head is now fuller of music than
ever it's been!
