[vip_students] switching email identity

Hi all
Someone has sent me an email to my old email address and I tried to switch
identities in order to get it but I seem to have deleted my old email identity.
Is it possible to get it back?
How long does an email address remain inactive. I wonder could I access it
though the eircom website. I might just try that now.
