Hi Edel,

I have been researching your email addresses problem and think the following
should help you.
You may be able to just turn off autocomplete in Outlook Express to clear
the cache...click apply then then turn it back on.

Turning AutoComplete Addresses On or Off

To turn AutoComplete off:

1.
On the Tools menu in Outlook Express, click Options.

2.
Send tab, and then clear the Automatically complete e-mail addresses when
composing check box.

Autocomplete, I'm assuming uses some sort of cache to be able to do what it
does. Turning it off and then rebooting and then turning it back on may
clear the cache.

 Hope this helps.

Paul.

Hi Paul

I trust this little utility knows what its at. The words permanently delete
are a bit scary. In the applications tab it has lots of things selected
such as windows media player and office up. Should I proceed anyway and
trust it knows what its at...

Hi Edel,

download this little utility and install it. When it is installed run it and
clean off all the rubbish from your PC. Try OE afterwards and see if it
helped any.

Program name: CCleaner 2.0.

Hello again!

When I type in an address in outlook say for example vip_students@... etc
the outlook memory recognises it and that's great BUT what if I have two
email addresses for one person and one of them is no longer in use. I've
tried every which way I can think of to delete it but the memory still
remembers it.

Can anyone tell me where is the ghost?

Edel..
