Hi Eleanor,

I just tried adding some new comments and it works fine, not sure what is
going on there with you. It may be something to do with with how your
document is formatted.

Paul.

Hi Paul
I remain confused about this question of inserting comments. I've given it
a go but I cannot press esc after I have inserted my comment and pressed the
enter button. When I press the esc I just get a ping sound. I want to be
able to go through perhaps a 20 page document and to insert my comments at
various stages throughout the document. I need a little more help here
please. I am wondering if I just keep the section comments mode open and go
between it and the document and keep inserting more comments.

Hope you can help but if you can't, that is fair enough too.

Eleanor

(Adding comments to document)

1. Arrow to the point in your document where you wish to place a comment.

2. Open up the insert menu and then press the letter "M" to activate the
comment edit box. Note:Jaws will not say that you have done this so just
assume that you have and if you really want to be sure press the up and down
arrows to determine your position within a comment. Also jaws will for this
part be locked into the comments box so you can't get out till yu finish
what you want or press the escape key".

3.Type in your comment and then press the enter key. Now press the escape
key to get out of the comments mode.

4. Save your document and close with your comments safely created.

(Accessing Comments in Word Document)

1. Open up the document containing the comments.

2. Use jaws keys "control plus shift plus '" to have jaws gather all the
comments into a list.

3. You can arrow through this list and when you reach the desired comment
just press enter key on it where you can use the arrow keys to read it or up
and down arrows to do likewise, it is a matter of personal preference.

4. To exit the comments list just press escape and remember if you should
edit any of the comments you need to resave your file.

Note: I have attached the winamp player manual in word format with some
example comments in it.
It is not an important document but just something you can try out and see
how it goes. You can of course make up your own documents and add in
comments.

Note: I guess its best to state here that I used jaws 7 when writing up this
lesson but know that any version of jaws from say "4.5" onwards will be
okay.

Regards,

Paul.
