Thanks for that, it worked, I was speaking with Paul, he suggested pressing 
enter then typing,  both have worked, thanks to you both.

  Perhaps you might just need to turn on forms mode and you can do this by 
pressing space bar and then type in your term.
  Try this and if it doesn't work come back and maybe somebody else will have a 
suggestion for you.

  Hi,
  When the Windows Help menu is displayed,  I cannot type anything into the 
search box, Jaws appears to prevent me from doing this, when I close Jaws I can 
type in the subject in the search box.
