Hi Eleanor,
I wonder if that’s Apple asking? In iOS13, there’s a (to me, new) item
called TV Provider, in Settings. You might have agreed – given permission –
after you opened the RTÉ Player app, for it to be your iPad’s TV Provider.
Apple’s way of dragging other networks into their subscription model? It is
confusing, at any rate...
This sounds like something that feedback@xxxxxx
should know about.

hi everyone, I have a valid TV licence for the Irish Republic, however I do
not appear to be able to watch TV on my iPad or iPhone. they're asking for a
monthly subscription. is this the case for everyone these days?
