Very well said Flor. The JAWS help system is excellent in describing JAWS functionalities. OCR not being one of them. PDF's can be compiled from various source documents including text documents written on a computer (which the version of the iPhone manual is), as well as from images of such files. JAWS can't read image pdf's. (For those, you need an OCR program, like kurzweil 1000, Open Book, FineReader, OmniPage, etc.) ----- Original Message ----- From: "tony sweeney" <deirton711@xxxxxxxxx> To: <vip_students@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, July 06, 2010 1:56 PM Subject: [vip_students] Re: Manual for iphone Hi Mareadd, Thank you for that link to read up on the Ios4. The section on accessibility begins on page 211 which has a lot of useful jestures. Some of these include touch typing and browsing the internet using the voice over software. http://manuals.info.apple.com/en_US/iPhone_iOS4_User_Guide.pdf doc but thankfully I could read it no problem!
