Hi Flor et al,
I note that in his original email Frank calls his problem mywedsearch. Note
the "d" rather than "b" ie Delta instead of bravo.
If one is searching this nay be relevant.
Aedan.

Frank, et al.,

The reason MyWebSearch may not be showing is that it may be currently
enabled in internet Explorer and therefore is not presently amenable to
be removed. Let's see if we can change this if this is the case. next
time you launch internet Explorer, as soon as it comes up press alt-f
then w to work off-Line. Now, go into Tools, add-ons, alt-t then a; then
tab to a list of currently loaded add-ons. You will see a group of
radiobuttons, but ignore that for now and tab on to the list.

If you arrow to MyWebSearch in there, then tab to the "disable" button
and then press spacebar or enter.

Close Internet Explorer. Now, go into Control panel and see if you can
find MyWebSearch in add/remove, and uninstall. (That last step is
optional. However, above are the principles of how, in Internet
Explorer, you disable an add-on if it is proving to be a nuisance or you
no longer need it (if you ever did).

And you successfully uninstalled AVG? We need to be sure.

It could be that your Windows Internet Explorer has become
corrupted. If it is Internet Explorer 8, the only way to repair is
to uninstall it, which would bring you back to your prior version
of IE. It is not an easy problem to fix, apart from someone looking at your computer and perhaps running a different antispyware on it.

Frank,

You will be going around in circles, in my view. If you do want
AVG and it is to run properly, you need to get the Avast protect
during uninstall problem sorted, as Avast is not yet uninstalled.
You will probably need sighted on-site assistance for this. If
you would prefer AVAST to run, then uninstall AVG and reinstall
Avast. Then we could see if you really have other problems such
as those with internet Explorer and spyware.
