Dear All, INBAF, the Irish Braille and Alternative Format Association would like to invite you to an Information Afternoon on UEB (Unified English Braille) and UIB (Updated Irish Braille) On Wednesday, March 4th 2015. These two new braille codes are gradually being introduced in all Irish schools since September 2014 and will eventually replace the current codes for all braille readers. To find out what’s new, how little changes there are, how these new codes are used with braille display technology, how this code works in all English speaking countries and more, please drop by and talk to our braille experts. Venue: Claregalway College, Claregalway Corporate Park, Claregalway, Co Galway Time: Any time between 3 pm and 6 pm Who this is for: Anyone who reads braille, studies braille or works with students or pupils who are braille readers. Anyone who uses braille display technologies or supports people who use same. Anyone with a general interest in the upcoming changes in the English and Irish braille codes, teachers, transcribers, student support officers, researchers etc. This is an informal afternoon, no lectures are being given, but we have information leaflets, demonstration books in old and new braille codes, braille display and braille note taker and are happy to answer any English or Irish braille-related questions.
