Hi All,

This tutorial concentrates on how to create a playlist on your IPhone from
within the ITunes program on your PC or laptop. I will say this was a way of
doing it I worked out myself and there may be other ways but it worked for
me so I am writing out the instructions for anyone else interested in trying
it out.

First we begin by creating a folder on our computer, P?C or laptop where we
can then put in all the MP3 files of our favourite songs for which we want
to then add into a playlist on our IPhone. To do this;

1. Find a location on your computer where you want to make the new folder
such as within "My Documents".
2. In My Documents, open the file menu with keys, "Alt + F" and arrow down
to "New sub menu". Right arrow in here and press enter key on "Folder".
3. At this point type in a meaningful name, anything you like and press the
enter key to complete. Now you have a new folder created.
4. Now go into your various music collections and select any songs you want
to have in your IPhone playlist, copying them into the new folder you
created in the "My Documents" folder. Continue adding into this folder
until you have all the songs you want for your proposed playlist.

Part 2: Creating the playlist on the IPhone.

1. With the IPhone device attached to your PC or laptop in the normal way,
open up ITunes.
2. When ITunes opens up it should say something like "Music tree view" and
how many items within that tree view it contains, one of which will be our
IPhone in the "Devices" section.
3. Usually pressing the letter "D" once while in this tree view will drop
you down onto the devices area where you then press the right arrow till you
have moved onto your IPhone which your screen reader will inform you of the
name of your IPhone and its currently battery charging details.
4. At this point you need to press the "Tab key" till you reach the "Create
playlist" button and then press the spacebar to activate it.
5. Here you will be asked for a name for your playlist, call it whatever you
like and press the "enter key" to complete.
6. Once you have pressed the enter key, you will then find that you have
been placed directly on the new playlist of whatever name you gave it which
is now located within the playlists section of your connected IPhone.

Part 3: Adding songs into the playlist.

Now we come to the part where we first collect our songs that we earlier on
gathered up into a folder within My Documents and then we will place them
into the new playlist we just created as follows;

1. At the point where you are now positioned directly on your new playlist
folder, do nothing else here for the moment except use the keys, "Windows
key + letter M" to go onto your desktop.
2. If your new folder is within the My Documents folder, look for My
Documents on the desktop and press enter on it to open it up.
3. Arrow around till you come to the folder you earlier created and which
contains all the tracks you now wish to place into the playlist then press
enter to open it up.
4. In here, select all the tracks using the keystroke of "Control + A" then
do "Control + C" to copy them to the windows clipboard.
5. At this point close out of the folder using keys, "Alt + F4" and use
keys, "Alt + tab" to toggle focus back onto the newly created playlist
folder within the ITunes where you were earlier on.
6. Once on the playlist you created, press your application key, "Third key
out from right side of spacebar" or if no application key then use "Shift +
F10" for to access the same menu.
7. Press enter key on the first option in here which is "Open in new
window". This will open up the newly created playlists area which is kind of
like a folder area and it will say something like zero items.
8. Use keys, "Control + V" to copy the contents that you previously copied
to your clipboard, I.E the tracks from within the folder which was inside My
Documents. All tracks will now be placed inside the new playlist
Notes: Give this process a few moments, say about 30 seconds or so to
complete the copying process.
9. To finish, close out of ITunes using keys, "Alt + F4" then disconnect
carefully your IPhone from the PC/Laptop.

Part 4:Accessing your playlists on the IPhone.

To now access your new playlists on the IPhone;

1. On the main home screen of your IPhone, this is the area that contains
apps such as the messaging app, Weather forecast, App store and some other
items move down to the bottom right side of the screen where you'll find
"Music".
2. Double tap here and when it opens up all your playlists will be revealed.
3. Use your finger to pick out the particular playlist you want then double
tap to open it up.
4. Double tap with one finger on the first song in that playlist and it will
begin playing then once finished any other song in that playlist will play
in turn.
5. Do a "two finger double tap" to stop the music/songs playing should you
wish too.
