Hi Paul

Recieved this email when I emailed the list a few minutes ago. I presume is some sort of a filtering process but thought I'd forward it back to the list anyway. See if you get it this time

Hi Paul

I have a few friends who would like to join the list and like Petrina I
cannot remember how I subscribed in the first place. Can I send them the
subscribe link below.

Regards

Edel..

Hi Paul,

Thanks for your response, this was what I was talking about alright.

Now I have another query - I can set up an autoreply but obviously from
previous emails, I have to unsubscribe to the list if setting it up so all
the list members don't keep getting it. Am I right in thinking this.

So my query is how do i unsubscribe/subscribe to the list. I can't
remember
how I subscribed in the first place - it was long ago!

Hope all is well with you too Paul. Pity the weather is so bad but sure
what
can we do?

REgards,

Petrina

Hi Petrina,

Good to hear from you, I hope all is well there with the family. I think
the
question you are asking is how much space you have left on your hard
drive.
There is a difference between memory on a computer. Recently a lister
asked
the question how would they know how much physical memory is on their
computer. This is the memory known as "Ram memory" and is responsible for
the successful loading up of applications such as jaws and other
applications. The second kind of memory is known as "Rom, Read only
Memory"
and this would include things such as the hard drive and other media
where
you can store files and folders such as removable pen drives and external
hard drives. From what I gather you would like to know how much "Rom
space
or hard drive space you have left on your computer, am I correct?. Well if
I
am do the following;

1. While on the desktop, press the letter "M" till you hear jaws say My
Computer.

2. Hit the enter key and then arrow around till you find an object hat
jaws
refers to as something called "Local drive C".

3. Press and hold down the left alt key and then press the enter key in
order to open up the properties of this drive.

4. Now route your jaws cursor to PC cursor using the keys "insert + minus
key" on the numpad of your keyboard.

5. Now press the numpad "9" to go to the top of the properties screen.

6. Use the numpad "2" key to come down a line at a time and you will hear
lots of information relating to your hard drive. As you arrow down you
will
eventually come to the information pertaining to the size of your hard
drive
and how much space is used and also how much free space you have left.

When you are finished reviewing this information, press the "PC cursor
key"
which is "the plus key on the numpad". Now tab key to the ok button and
press enter or spacebar to finish.

Hope this helps.

Paul.

Hi folks,

I have a vague recollection that this question was asked and answered
recently, so apologies for the Repition. How do I find out how much meory
is
left in my hard drive?

I am tidying up my computer at the momen. It is worse than housework and
Jaws voice is wearing me at the moment. Maybe I will go down and do some
proper housework and stop avoiding it by using the computer!

Have a nice weekend

Regards,
Petrina
