The below instructions for creating tables in Word apply to those using
Microsoft Office Word 2003.

Open up the tables menu using keys, "Alt + A".
1. Down arrow to "Insert" then press the right arrow key once.
2. Press the enter key on table.
3. In the first "Spin box" you will be asked to choose the number of
"Columns", use the up and down arrow to make your selection.
4. Press the tab key once and you will be asked to choose the number
of "Rows" from this spin box, use the up or down arrows to accomplish this.
5. Press the tab key again and you will be asked if you want a "Fixed
Column width, checkbox" which is already checked by default, generally you
would leave this as is.
6. Press the tab key again and you will be on the "Auto fit behaviour
spin box" which is generally set to auto, again I would leave this as it is.
7. Pressing tab key again you will be asked about your choice of table
style which is an "Edit box". Here it is set to table grid.
8. Press the tab key again and you will have an "Auto format button",
unless you want to do some sort of fancy formatting on your table just tab
key past this button.
9. Tab again and you are on a checkbox called "Remember table
dimensions" which is not checked by default. The purpose of this checkbox is
that if you type in more text than will fit into a table cell the cell will
not become distorted and hold its shape.
10. Finally tabbing once more will land you on the "OK button", press
the spacebar on this to complete the settings you want for your new table.
