[vip_students] Avast & Updating

Afternoon Folks,
My Avast said something like that it was updating a few days ago, well I assume
that was what it was doing anyway!
I didn't do anything to process that!
Is that something new with Avast or do I have that wrong.
It used to just tell me that I needed to update and I had to get a registration
number; I used get that from this list actually.
