Paul, I have no problem reading the number with the PC cursor. (I have screen track virtual cursor checked, meaning that what's on the screen is also following the virtual cursor.) I think at this stage it would be hhelpful if others hlet the list know if they encounter problems (or have no problems) when reading the page, particularly the telephone number(s) in the returned results. . If it's relevant, and it may be, braille comes up before speech does here, when I initiate the page. (I think the page may be loading images or something, so JAWS is like biding its time until loading has completed.) In brief, there appears to be something funky going on; but however it doesn't prevent me from hearing JAWS as normal with PC cursor reading the information returned in the results. Do you use screen magnification software as well? If so, though I cannot ascertain it, there may be other sites where you would have this issue. ----- Original Message ----- From: <Paul.Griffith@xxxxxx> To: <vicsireland@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, March 19, 2009 2:55 PM Subject: [vicsireland] Re: eircom website Thanks flor, that is what I really do, but only the jaws cursor will read the telephone number, the pc cursor will read the name and address of the customers phone book entry, Is this the same for you? With later versions of JAWS, you can do this outside of Forms Mode by typing r and then selecting your choice. You can then fill in the "who are you looking for?" box and the following one, entering forns Mode. (Giving first or full name as well should narrow down the results.) In the list of results, the name and the phone number are given and read for me by JAWS - JAWS10 and previous versions I've had. (The page may take a while to load properly. Possibly there are pop-ups being blocked.) =========================================================== The vicsireland mailing list To unsubscribe at any time send a mail to: vicsireland-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the word "unsubscribe", without the quotes in the subject of the message.
