Hi Roslyn,
You might be surprised to learn that this can happen in any version of Windows,
where the Windows key stops responding for no good reason except it got fed up
witgh you! A shutdown of all programs, and then a forced shutdown of the
computer, and then a restart will normally restore it. If it does not, then
it’s time to examine the keyboard itself.

Hi Cearbhall,
Resolved it by shutting down the computer which I did by the tower because I
couldn't access the start menu.
Using XP though.
Thanks though.

Roslyn,
What screen reader are you using and what version of Windows and what
version of Outlook express?
Each screen reader has a different way of resolving problems and the
solutions depend on the version of both windows and Outlook Express.
All the best,
Cearbhall
