Hi Flor, Thanks for that. A good point, as I hadn't thought of the Plextalk Pocket. I've removed the battery for several hours, but on reinsertion, the AC adaptor is once again sought! Your right, removing the battery resets the device, but it doesn't seem to apply in order to finish a firmware update. I emailed the BPP mailing list, but didn't hear anything. I didn't see my email, and haven't got any emails from the list in an age, so I'm beginning to wonder if it's still active. In the meantime, if you haven't done so already: take out the battery for several seconds, then reinsert it. After that, switch on the Bookport, and wait for it to sound. (that's how I fix my Plextalk Pocket when it goes silent, which is rare. That restores it.) ----- Original Message ----- From: "Eamonn X. It's probably unlikely, as most people I know have opted for the Victory Reader Stream. I updated the firmware recently, forgetting the AC adaptor was required to finish the process. Right now I can't find it, it's probably somewhere around the house!
