Hello,
I was hoping someone could help me out. I recently purchased an Office
365 subscription and have installed the desktop versions of Wrd,
Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, and Publisher on my computer. I am having
an issue setting up my email account in Outlook. A friend of mine said
you have to set up mail through the control panel rather than the
accounts tab in Outlook. I set Outlook as my default program for
sending and receiving email, but when I open Outlook, I am getting a
message saying there is no default mail client set up. When I click
Ok, the program does go to my personal folders. The other issue I am
having is when I try to set up my email, once I have entered my name,
email address and password and click next, there is a several second
delay and then I get a message saying that Outlook could not set up my
account automatically and to click next to set up manually. However,
there is no next button to click. I verified this with object
navigation in Nvda. My friend tried it on his computer and he had no
issues running Windows 8. I am currently running Windows 7, so is it
possible that Outlook 2016 is not compatible with 7? Has anyone
running Windows 7 experienced this issue with setting up a gmail
account in Outlook 2016? If so, how do I fix it?
