Kelsey, everything I've read suggests that back tap works on iPhones
beginning with the iPhone 8 and includes the iPhone 8 Plus as a
supported phone. Also, while iOS 14.1 has not fixed every accessibility
bug I do feel that the most severe issues have been addressed and the
phone's usability is now quite good. However, bear in mind that I'm not
a Braille display or a Braille screen input user and so I don't know if
there are still serious bugs for users who rely on Braille input and
Braille output. I would check the current bug list from Applevis to see
what's currently still an issue with iOS 14.1.

Hello,
I have not upgraded my iPhone to IOS 14 yet, but I plan to once Apple
has worked out most of the bugs. I was hoping someone could answer a
question for me. I have an iPhone 8 plus and was wondering if that
phone supports the new Back Tap feature introduced in IOS 14. I have
gotten conflicting answers on this. Some sources say it does not, but
someone on another email list has an 8 and they say it does work, so
I'm not sure who to believe. I am not planning on getting a new phone
(not elegible yet).
