Hi Andy,
Just wondering what gauge strings you have on at present? Sorry if this sounds
like I'm telling granny to suck eggs but, the lighter the gauge you use, the
more capacity or range you'll have for bending. For example, a 9 or 10 will
give you good bending performance. If you have 11's then it’s a bit in between
and 12's will not give way a great deal. Obviously though, the lighter the
gauge, then the more twangy the sound will be.
HTH mate.

Subject: [vibe] String bending
I’m having problems improving my string bending technique on my electric. I
don’t seem to be able to bend by more than half a step, or a semitone or a
single fret to put it another way. if I’m bending the top E string for example,
by the time it’s pushing up almost under the B string above, it hasn’t managed
to raise the pitch by a full tone, and it feels to me could cause it to break
if I tried to bend it further, given the feel of the tension already in it.
any thoughts Or tips?
