Is there a list archive, that is --- an area inside of free lists by where one
can see the past vibe message archives, such that the zoom presentations or
links to other cool topics might be found or located? Other lists have like an
archive sort of deal, and not sure if free lists subscribes to that concept.
In terms of a vibe web site, if that should ever come around again, please try
to let us know. That would be tremendous.
Anyway, thanks for filling me in with all of the details of the vibe community
and if the list serve has any archives or web-based systems, please let me know

Hi Roger, and welcome to the group.
VIBE grew out of a network of blind and partially sighted musicians and
people interested in accessible music tech. There was a website at one
time, and may be again, but it's lived on via the Email group and we
have been running monthly Zoom sessions for the past year or so. There
are probably more people on here from the UK, but anyone from anywhere
is welcome. Here's a summary of the idea from a previous post:
VIBE is a group of blind and partially sighted musicians and for anyone
interested in accessible music, and audio technology. Whether you sing
or play for leisure, study or as a profession, in any genre, VIBE will
put you in touch with others who can answer questions or suggest
solutions, and generally help each other out. In our monthly Zoom
sessions, We have covered topics including performance, online
promotion, tips for playing different instruments, development of a
resource network, and access to music and audio software such as Reaper
and Logic Pro, and to audio and music equipment. We have also started
an experiment to collaborate on recording new music.

Justin Macleod for a third presentation. Justin writes:
Effects are probably the most fun part of using any DAW or editor.
Certainly, it's the part that pretty much all my students can't wait
to get
their teeth into. Audio can be transformed and elevated in weird and
wonderful ways at the touch of a button. Adding effects in the right way
can
be the difference between a production sounding rough and raw and it
taking
on a professional gloss.
Join me for an interactive exploration of all the different categories
available to producers. Although I'll be using Reaper and touching on the
key presses and work flows that make effects tick there, the majority of
what I'll cover will apply just as well to any accessible DAW or audio
editor, regardless of operating system.
We'll cover:
the effects you don't want anyone to notice.
Adding style with effects, from delays to distortion, from comb filter
colouration to crushing, from reverbs to resonance and reverse echoes.
From trash to treasure: using effects creatively to make something out of
nothing.
the emphasis of the presentation will be guided by whatever you're
interested in. We may touch on drum tuning with frequency shifters,
larger
than like vocal processing for jingles, creating alien vocal effects,
both
recognisable and unique. We may cover the pumping and breathing of
