Hi All,
OK, further to the Artist thread, I've been a bit tied up with some other
bits and pieces over the last couple of weeks but, have found a little time
each day to keep on playing with the new Katana Artist amp by Boss. Another
aspect to this amp is that it will connect to your PC or Mac and you can
download and use Boss'es Tone Studio software. I've done this and the
software looks fairly usable but, I've had a bit of a problem in sincing the
software to my amp. I think it's the interface driver which is not allowing
the software to find the amp. I've not been able to call Roland yet for
some tech support. I have though also done a bit more recording and have
copied a drop box link below if anyone wants to have a listen. I'll warn
you that it is very much a rock metal track with a lot of saturated high
gain on it. It's not thrash but it is very melodic with lots of fingering,
it's what I'd say was bordering on Gothic metal. It's all been recorded
directly out from the Katana amp. This also includes the middle section
acoustic guitar using it's acoustic simulation stage. The track is called
Born From Oblivion smiles! The best way to listen to it is cranked up and
on some high quality headphones!
