At least here I so far can't permanently change the focus except by using
explore mode and then pretty quickly double-tapping in another place to make
the action happen at least when voice view is talking. I don't use facebook but
even if I did I wouldn't think it easier to sign in with than the regular
sign-in and in any case I don't have to sign in very often but everybody has
different things they think are easier or harder.

I don't know, but even if you could, it wouldn't work for us over here in the
UK. I did however find out something quite interesting when I was having a play
with the app today. I did manage to get voice for you to stop talking
incessantly, you just have to make sure the focus isn't on a part of the screen
that is changing. I also did a bit of digging around in settings in the
navigation drawer. It is a tick box. When you press this, you can find the
option to either sign in or sign up. I decided to use my Facebook as my sign in
method as that just made things easier. I also discovered a tick box in here
that said pause instead of ducking. If this box is not ticked, the audio
stream will simply duck rather than pausing whenever there is a short
interruption. I have insured that this box is not ticked. Hopefully, that
might help some of you. I haven't played around with it too much, so don't know
if it makes a massive difference, but it certainly seemed better then when I
used the app on Friday.

Hi. Here’s the response from the developer. Is it me or is this response
just not helpful at all? Not to mention he’s about 8 days ahead of us. Lol.

Hello Kerry,
Thank you for contacting us regarding this issue. I’m sorry to hear that the
VoiceView feature on your Amazon Fire 8HD is continually speaking over a
radio station’s brodcasting content. I’ll be happy to help you.
We suggest you temporarily turn off the VoiceView feature while you’re
listening to a radio station. For this you may use your two fingers and swipe
from top to bottom, like you do when you have to unlock the Kindle. You will
reach to Settings, tap on it, then reach Accessibility, over there turn off
the voice command mode. Double tap again on this voice command mode to turn
it on again.
Alternatively, you may contact Amazon’s customer service at their toll free
phone number 0800 496 1081 if you’re based in the United Kingdom, they may be
able to provide you with further assistance on how to best configure the
VoiceView so it doesn’t interrupt any other apps.
If you have any other questions, do not hesitate to contact us back.
Sincerely,
Vincenth
