Have you tried doing a letter sign before switching back to letters? the letter
sign is 5 6 together. That works on my phone with the m braille app , maybe it
will work here too? You just type the number sign, put in the numbers you want
then do the letter sign and start typing in letters. You could also try putting
a space between the numbers and the letters.

sign(dots 3,4,5,6) it enters numbers just fine. However, how do you get back
to being able to enter letters again? I can't get out of the number mode and
anything other than number combos causes it to tell me what dots I have
entered. It is driving me nuts.
2) what is the dot combo for entering an at sign?
