Hello,
I've known of a similar problem with other devices. In most cases, the problem
was with the USB cable. There was a dodgey connection in the cable itself that
would only work if the cable was in a particular position. On one occasion,
though, the issue was to do with the device itself. My son had been careless
with his IPad and the socket was damaged. Best way to test this would be to try
another cable first to see if the problem continues.
Hope this helps,
Richard

Subject: [vi-kindle] Weird issue with my tablet
Hello everyone,
A few days ago I started having an odd problem with my tablet. I am
hoping someone might have some ideas.
Ok, on Friday I unplugged my tablet from my laptop. It's connected by
it's USB cable. I took it and I plugged it in to my power strip that has
USB outlets on it.
Well not long after I did this, the tablet started unlocking itself. It
unlocks, after it locks back, not even a few minutes after it locks again.
Well I was anoyed by this always happening. So I decided to plug it back
in to my laptop today.
However, the problem remains. My boyfriend and I were thinking that when
it was plugged in to the USB on the power strip, that maybe the power
was fluctuating.
But this must not be the case, because it's continuing.
Does anyone have any ideas as to what could be going on?
I know this is a rather technical question. I am just not sure where
else to ask this. Or what to do about it.
Any help or thoughts are much appreciated.
Thank you,
Terri
