Hi Hans. I also thought that Alexa was now calling ready on the Fire
tablet considering the language from certain posts on the subject. I
even started a discussion topic on Amazon when I couldn't figure how
to get it to work on my Fire.
My conclusion? Currently, it doesn't work on the Fire tablet. My
thought is that Alexa calling would be something like Google hangouts
or Skype. But, I don't think the feature has been folded into the
tablet.
I tried both the Alexa app found in the Amazon app store and the
Google play store. No luck! No work!
That's what I think from this side of the fence. Others with thoughts?
On another note, descriptive audio not only works on my 7", but, also
works on my 6" Fire as well. Found a movie that had a full 4 minutes
of descriptive audio during a chase scene. Worked perfectly without a
burp. Descriptive audio in the palm of your hand. Amazing!
