Hey William,
Thanks for mentioning that the two finger swipe up unlock the device. If I ever
knew that, I had forgotten. Very nice. As for the ads, I have actually
purchased a couple of kindle books based on those ads. So they’re not always A
waste of time And I’m sure not going to give Amazon any of my money just for
the convenience of not having the ads. But to each his or her own.

Agreed. I have never understood why the big deal about the ads. I
always either just locate the unlock button at the bottom of the
screen or swipe my way past the ads and unlock my tablet. No one says
you have to wait for VoiceView to read the ads before moving on to the
unlock button. Just swipe until you hear unlock and double tap.

Hi. The ad read back is on the un-locked screen. If you do a
two-finger swipe upward on this screen, you'll go to the home screen
and never hear the ad. Just my opinion, but, I'd rather keep the $15,
since, you never see/hear this except on this screen. And, since I
can't see it, I never hear it!
Stay well ... William

Whenever I'm about to unloc my Fire Tablet 7-inch, between the Date/Time
buttons, before the Unlock button, I see an add for an app. Is there a
way to take these ads off? It's kind of getting annoying!
