A couple or so days ago, I sent a note to the Les about my inability to get an
update downloaded, even though there was supposedly one available with a system
update. Rebooting didn't help. Yesterday, when I checked system update, there
was again notification that I had an update available. This time, before
hitting the update button, I plugged in my HD eight, thinking that perhaps it
had to be connected to main power, even though I had a lot of battery charge
remaining. I once again double tapped on the update button, and once again the
button disappeared. And once again I have no update." Check for updates" is
again telling me that I have no updates available and the one installed dates
from August 31. This is beginning to get very annoying. Has anyone seen any
reports of this on any of the Amazon discussions pages? I admit I haven't
looked. Also, I certainly have the address for the Accessibility folks. But
what about if you just want to talk to a regular Kindle support person about an
issue with a Kindle which shouldn't be Accessibility related.
