Sadly, your post haas been confirmed by Amazon Accessibility (I called them
several months ago.)
If using an app like "Voice To Type," (I think that's what the app's called in
the store,) the Ivonna voice you're using with Voice View, gets in the wy of
speaking, unless using headphones.

Hi all. Note that my 6 inch 4th generation Fire tablet has a default
Fire virtual keyboard with a voice tab allowing one to use voice to
speak text into a textbox. That allows me to use the function with
email, facebook and such. It works great! However, on subsequent
models that feature was removed. It is not on my 7 inch Fire tablet.
Perhaps, Amazon will incorporate Alexa in the future to allow this
function. Here is hoping. Dictation by voice is a great feature!

One person who was requesting said physical keyboard shortcuts, was thinking
the keystrokes should be a mixture of Voice Assistant and VoiceOver
keystrokes.
