hi steven. i did a quick look. and. installed tuneinradio. there are,
i think, rotating ads on the opening page, but, swiping down found the
navigation links. i searched fm and local. local was easy; just hit
the button.
there were a number listed. two hits were npr and a local university
radio station.
although there are unmapped buttons, i was able to get those two
stations streaming. npr is always stellar with their interface, so, i
listened to today's "morning edition" for a bit.
note also. if you turn off the screen by punching the power button,
you will never have a stream interferred by ads or any other garbage
(in this case, rotating buttons vocalized).
good thing with the app is that you can add what you hear and like to
favorites. i'll be going back to the app and tricking around some
more. perhaps trying some others. but, this one seems accessible
enough, but, of course could be alot better. should send the developer
an email and heads up that we "flying blind folks" do exist /smile.
