Hi. If you indeed have Voice Dictation in using the virtual keyboard,
especially in writing an email, there is no Voice Dictation tab on the
keyboard, but, rather you will notice, after focusing on the message
text-box and swiping down, a message that says to two-finger
double-tap and hold on the glass. While still holding your fingers on
the glass after a chime sounds, start speaking your dictation. When
done single-finger double-tap the glass. Swipe back up to see what
your dictation has wrought!
Like I said, it seems that only the newest Fire tablets, which seems,
those that came with Hands-Free Alexa as a default seem to have this
aspect of Voice Dictation.
May I ask which Fire tablet you have? Size and generation number?
