Hi Carol. Don't you have a tab just above settings in quick settings
that tells you your Fire screen position? Tapping on that changes from
unlocked to locked?
My locked position is always portrait. You are saying differently?
As for seven options, think that includes the heading.

OK, this happened sort of accidentally, but I did intend to make the
change, sort of. In Settings, I decided to lock my screen to not switch
when ratated. I did this on my original tablet. OK, all was well. In
the case of my switch yesterday, I must have tipped my tablet just as I
was tapping the button to lock display in one position. Well, it ended
up in the wrong direction.
I went back in to fix it and the option to change the setting has
disappeared. It still says there are 7 options, but there are only 6
listed. How can I get my display rotated back to normal and lock it in
place if there is no option available? Thanks for the help.
