I personally think that Amazon's accessibility hotline is a joke. I have had
several experiences just as you have described with accessibility of my fire
tablet you expect to get someone who knows all of the inns and outs of Voice
view and in truth that almost never happens. The last person that I spoke to
kept giving me information that I had already found on the Amazon website they
really were not helpful at all

Well, I just had the less than great experience with the Amazon accessibility
number. I called the number and got a guy who's only expertise was in either
searching the Internet, which I can do for myself, or in helping out on the
Amazon site. I thought the accessibility number was also supposed to put you
in touch with people who know about voice view and how it works. Apparently
not, or maybe there are two numbers? After I explained my question about
deleting apps from the fire TV stick, the gentleman I got a hold of said that
he didn't know anything about that, but he put me on hold for a long time
well he made notes in my account, which she could've done on his own time I
think, and then transferred me over to somebody else from another department
which was supposed to be tech-support, except they knew nothing about
accessibility. It was all together a very unsatisfying experience. It didn't
help that this guys first language was clearly not English.
