Hi Chris. The route you want to go, sounds like a hack to me. I doubt
if the update routine that is required by Amazon is as laborious as
you think it is. I have done such updates on a new Fire tablet, 4 or 5
iterations, and, no big deal. Probably, the email sending
back-and-forth takes more time. William

way I can download the latest FireOS for my tablet, then over USB,
either transfer it to the Fire and flash it, or use ADB and do it
through debug mode via USB with developer options? Otherwise, stepping
this thing update by update build by build is gonna take an eternity at
the rate we're going. I'm trying basically to skip the in between
updates, and just jump it in one shebang up to the newest update it can
currently run.
