Carol,
Ah, I see what you mean. But since I don't believe VoiceView was designed with
an external keyboard in mind, I'd be surprised if anything like that was
available at this time. One could hope, though. (Smile)

Thank you, David. I do know about this mode and am pretty good with it.
What I was wishing for was something like key describer mode that would tell
me what key I pressed on the BT keyboard. Maybe I can get someone to help me
with that one of these days. We don't get a lot of visitors here and I hate
asking others to help.

Carol,
If you have the latest Fire OS (5.6), try tapping the screen with four
fingers twice to get into and out of learning mode. Then just try different
gestures and tapping combinations. Again, four finger double tap to enter
and exit.
Also, you can go into VoiceView settings and then VoiceView tutorial.

Does the Fire 8HD have a learn mode? This could be just what I need.

I finally found the settings for Pairing the Fire with a Braille display,

I've had some success with the new gestures, but I couldn't get "learn
mode" to recognize some of them.
As William says, "Onward."
