hi. i use codex with windows xp, 8.1 and 10. i convert kindle books to
formats (text, epub, mobi) including kindle unprotected. works great.
i also now convert kindle books from the ohio online digital library
(connected to my local public library) with a 3-week poison pill and
the conversion works just as if i had bought the book from amazon.
both the kindle unprotected and text will read back on my kindle
keyboard as well as the fire. so, if thinking of a kindle e-reader
those file formats will work no problem.
as for kindle for pc to collect the books to be re-formatted, i have
no problem. just sayin'.
