Yes it is just for reading books nothing too fancy.

hi. let me see if i have this straight.
1. you have a paperwhite that is a dead animal.
2. you have one kindle fire for which the in-the-wall from the
paperwhite fits into the micro port easily.
3. you also have a kindle fire 6" for which the above cable does not
fit as easily.
if that is correct, i'm not sure i would worry about the snug fit. it
sure beats a loose one.
by the way, i use the in-the-wall cable from my kindle keyboard and it
works fine to charge that unit, my kindle fire 6" and my three windows
tablets.
finally, you may want to enlist a well-sighted person to look at the
angle of the micro port of the kindle fire 6". the angle on the edge
can be off center. i have noticed that between all of my tablets, and,
if i don't enter straight on it can be a pain. otherwise, no problem.

charger works with perfectly fine.
Can anyone tell me what is going on? Is it that the USB and charger are
different?
