Hi all,
I sent a query to device-accessibility@xxxxxxxxxx yesterday. I basically
congratulated them on their improving raillesupport and also wondered whether
this support was going to come out independent of an OS update. I also asked
whether they have given any thought to putting some of the web navigation into
the Bluetooth keyboard support, since navigating with the touch screen in the
web browser is still inefficient, in my view. That's comparing it with an
iPhone or even with a regular android device using talk back. So, I got back a
totally incoherent response from someone who claimed to be on the Kindle team,
telling me about how yes it would be really good to have visual braille or
somesuch thing. I certainly didn't talk about visual braille and I don't think
sighted people really want that. The guy didn't address my questions. English
was obviously not his first language, based on the sentence structure ,grammar,
and total incoherence in terms of actually responding to my questions.
Therefore, I wonder if anybody has an address for Peter Corn, to which I will
send my questions followed by the unhelpful on response. And please folks, I
don't want to hear about how it's really hard to communicate in a second
language. I get it. I was a translator for my entire career. But if you can't
do The job, you shouldn't have it.
