(VICT) OT: Poop-eating/ Dar

Since I read on the web I can't write privately unless
I know the email addie so I apologize for this OT
posting
Dar some dogs (but not all) who eat their own poop do
so because they are not getting the nutrients they
need from their food so they eat it again to absorb a
bit more. My folks have a poop eater and it disgusts
them because theirs always gets sick.
Some things that changed a dog on an animal planet
show were:
Change the food to something more premium for the dogs
needs
Assure the dog eats more slowly by only putting small
amounts in the bowl
feed them pineapple chunks
This last one has stopped some poop eaters on the
epilepsy lists.
Since I live in an apartment I don't know if Met would
have become a poop eater or not because I clean up as
soon as Met goes but I certainly would hate that
behavior as well. Maybe the pineapple and slower
eating might help you out so I figured I would through
it out there. They were using fresh pineapple chunks
and only gave them about maybe 4 at each meal at the
end.
