The Happening!
It’s happening again, for the third year. The Vermont Council of the Blind
invites you to its third holiday party. We are going back to the Charlmont
Restaurant in Morrisville, where Routes 100 and 15 meet. The date is Thursday
November 30, and the time is 11:30 AM to 3:00 PM.
Steve and his crew have promised to provide a full holiday dinner including
your choice of ham or turkey and all of the trimmings. Each of us, except for
our drivers, who will eat free, will pay only $5.
There will be favors for everyone, and a special surprise on each table. Jerry
Doody has promised to provide some holiday music, and he will lead us in
singing a few Christmas carols. In order to receive one of the gifts provided
by all of us, you will have to answer a holiday trivia question. So brush up on
your holiday lore.
To make a reservation please send a $5 check made out to VCB for your meal to
Barbara Buchanan, 5 Aspen Drive, #123, South Burlington, VT 05403 by Monday
November 27, and tell her whether you want ham or turkey. Also tell her your
driver’s name if you know it by the time you send your check. If you would like
to participate in our trivia gift exchange, bring a wrapped or bag gift valued
at around $5.
We hope that many of you will be able to come to our party. That way you can
visit with old friends, make new ones, and wish each other a great holiday

Monthly Movie: Our last audio described movie for this year will be Thursday,
December 7. It usually starts around 10:00 AM and is held at the Essex Cinema.
The cost is $10.50 for the movie, popcorn, candy and a drink. If you could have
the correct change, you will make our treasurer very happy. The movie goers
usually have lunch together so they have a chance to chat.
Please consider attending both the party and the audio described movie. You
will be hearing from me with some new events in early January.
