Canzonetta in D minor, BuxWV 168 [4:18] /(a=460 Hz)/ In four sections: Imitative counterpoint in common meter with a characteristic hesitation step contrasted with a 3/4 version of the same subject played on a lighter registration. The playfulness is interrupted by a strong transition, and a different subject which appears recto and inversus (right- and up-side-down) is introduced on a bright registration, then finished off with the Pedal played an octave lower for a satisfying conclusion to this short excursion. Registration: Pull down Pedal Bank 1 - Roerfluit 8' + Prestant 4' Bank 2 - + Quint 1-1/2' Bank 3 - + Octaaf 2' Bank 4 - - Prestant 4' + Nasard 1-1/2 (B) + Quint 1-1/2' (T) Bank 5 - Roerfluit 8' + Prestant 4' + Octaaf 2' + Mixtuur. /Instrument:/ The Eekman de Mare Organ from Midwolde Groningen (1640) - Samples by Fred de Jong <http://www.hauptwerk.nl/midwoldeen.php> http://www.virtuallybaroque.com/trak3555.htmOrgantechnology supports Virtually Baroque Tracks Lists from James Pressler's Virtually Baroque.
