Hi George. I had exactly the same problem as yourself. In the end, I ended up
seeking sighted assistance, and once I got them to enter the pin, click done,
the box to enter the pin comes up again and you have to click the okay button.
Once you've done this, you should be good to go. Not entirely sure why you are
having problems with your iPhone though. Have you changed the Bluetooth
emulation? I made this mistake also when I first tried to connect my fire
tablet. Despite what the manual says, and given that things are now more
up-to-date than the manual itself, you do not need to change the Bluetooth
emulation mode. It should, pair with Both your iPhone and your Fire tablet in
the VarioUltra emulation mode.

Greetings all,
Having a bit of trouble with connecting my VU to either my
iPhone 6 or my Fire tablet.
I have successfully paired my VU before to my phone, but the iPhone now
claims my VU is not supported when I try to pair it to my phone. I have
attempted to forget it on both my phone and the VU without any success. Any
other suggestions?
My experience with the Fire tablet has been not the best. Although all went
well until I attempted to pair the tablet with the VU. The screen to put in
the pin pops up for literally twenty five seconds, and I can barely get in
the first 1 for pairing. Any work around on this?
Hoping these are just the usual id10T errors on my end. Appreciate the
assistance.
