This was the highlight this morning. The bird was first heard and then seen in the pines along the Dutch Gap Trail about 0.3 miles from the Visitor Center. The recent warm weather seems to have moved out all the wintering ducks. The RED-SHOULDERED HAWK was sitting on the nest near the parking lot, and an OSPREY was seen carrying breakfast.
